Policymakers say that they want to simplify the tax code and end special handouts for politically-connected business, but then they turn around and support policies that do the complete opposite. 

By extending subsidies for wind energy production, Republican lawmakers are violating their campaign promises and trying to micromanage our energy markets from Washington.
