Impeach the Vice President for Inciting Violence As Well

Donald Trump encouraged his audience to protest, and the protest resulted in violence and vandalism. Now he's being impeached. But the same thing happened in June of last year when Kamala Harris praised the BLM riots and urged a nationwide TV audience (June 17, Late Night with Stephen Colbert) that those violent protest should not stop. So to maintain our rule of law (one system of justice for everyone), we need to include her in the impeachment-- as a plaintiff (and not the judge). It will also help make the proceedings bipartisan and therefore, help unify the country.

The Petition

Impeach the Vice President for Inciting Violence As Well

As the U.S. Congress moves forward to impeach Trump for inciting violence by encouraging protests by his followers, we urge The House and Senate to also impeach the Vice President for likewise inciting violence. Since violent protests cannot and should not be tolerated, we must condemn, in the harshest terms, ALL political leaders who publicly incite them.

On June 17, 2020, on the CBS Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert, then Senator Kamala Harris (who will be Vice President when this petition is forwarded), endorsed and encouraged a continuation of the deadly BLM /ANTIFA riots that were causing billions of dollars damage, and killing dozens of Americans (including law enforcement). She told a nation-wide TV audience “They’re not gonna stop […] this is a movement I’m telling you, they’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware, because they’re not gonna stop, they’re not gonna stop before election day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after election day […] and everyone should take note of that on both levels, that they’re not gonna let up, and they should not, and we should not.”

Those riots cost between $1-$2 billion in damages, killed 30 Americans, and injured countless others. Whereas Trump expressly told marchers to protest “peacefully” in the speech he’s being impeached for, Harris never urged restraint of any sort. If there is a direct line made from comments by politicians to the illegal actions of their listeners, then clearly, Harris’ incitement was far greater and deadlier.

We urge the Congress, in the spirit of bipartisanship, to fulfill Joe Biden’s campaign pledge to “Unify America”, and help the nation come together by equally applying justice to everyone, including members of his own party who fanned the flames of violence that killed so many and damaged so much. No one should be above the law, especially the President of the Senate who could be presiding over the trial against her political opponent for doing exactly the same thing that she did. Impeaching both politicians for the same crimes & misdemeanors will also help prove to the world that the impeachment is not a political stunt, but rather, a sincere effort to hold all our leaders to account for their revolutionary rhetoric.

If you agree that members of both parties should face the same penalties for the same crimes, please sign below. Only when both leaders are impeached can our nation know that this trial is not a farce being run by hypocrites guilty of far worse.
