Conservative Iowa (4^th Dist.) Congressman Steve King faces a difficult primary challenge.  He deserves and needs support from fellow conservatives across the country. 

King has won seven terms in the U.S. House, first in the former 5th District and the last two times in the new 4th District, which spans 39 counties in Northwest and northcentral Iowa.

King has been a champion for conservative causes: Life, Family, Marriage, a Strong Military, Gun Rights, and the Rights of Small Business Owners.  In a recent press release Congressman King shared,

It is a great privilege to represent Iowa’s most productive agricultural District in Congress and I look forward to doing so again, to continue the great work we’ve done together to advance Iowa’s values and priorities including agriculture, life, traditional marriage, fiscal responsibility, Second Amendment rights, and the Rule of Law.

King serves on the US House Agriculture, Judiciary, and Small Business Committees. In 2015, he was named Chairman of the Executive Overreach Task Force by Speaker Paul Ryan. King has long chaired the Conservative Opportunity Society (COS), an organization founded by Speaker Newt Gingrich and others in 1983. COS is the leading voice for Constitutional and conservative principles in the U.S. House and represents one of only a half dozen seats at Speaker Ryan’s discussion table each week.

King has been endorsed by Ambassador John Bolton, Gun Owners of America, Senators Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley, and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey.

Steve understands the importance of defending the Unites States through a strong military power, which means increasing our active military and providing them with the latest technologies. He is a champion in the fight against terrorism both at home and abroad, which was exemplified recently when he submitted an amendment to the Omnibus Spending Bill that called for the defunding of the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal.

Steve King has been a friend of Gun Owners of America and law-abiding Second Amendment supporters during his entire time in Congress. And that’s not something you can say about many Members of Congress.

In her endorsement, Ernst said King stands strong for life and liberty, pointing out his support of military serving overseas as well as when they return home. Ernst also cited King’s championing of the expansion of US Highway 20 for growth of business and industry She remarked on his support of renewable fuels and the blender’s credit as well. “Steve is a friend to small businesses in our Iowa towns and the agriculture industry that helps drive our state,” Ernst remarked. “I hope you’ll join me and support Steve King for Congress.”

Congressman King is the founder of King Construction. A former small business owner, King resides in rural Sac County, Iowa, with his wife of 43 years, Marilyn. The Kings have three happily married sons and seven grandchildren; all the Kings live within 10 miles of each other.
