Via The Rubin Report -- Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to Rand Paul, the U.S. Senator for Kentucky, about how people visiting Washington DC will find a dystopian ghost town. He describes how the Capitol riot has created an a justification for a new crackdown on domestic terrorism. He likens it to the push for the Patriot Act after 9/11. He fears this new irrational fear of insurrection and domestic terror will lead to a broadening of the definition of an " insurrectionist". Rand is also concerned about how the woke Left has taken over the Democratic party. He references his exchange with Rachel Levine the nominee for Assistant Secretary for Health as evidence of the Biden administration supporting the use of puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgery on transgender kids. Rand also shares his thoughts on why he believes COVID is ending, but governments may continue to look for reasons to continue lockdowns. He also shares why he thinks Dr. Fauci's recommendations are becoming irrelevant. He questions his recommendation that people who have already recovered from coronavirus still need to get the COVID vaccine. Rand also discusses the Reins Act, his proposed legislation to curtail excessive government regulation, as well as the National Right to Work Act. The National Right to Work Act would protect workers who decide to not join a labor union. The law would also empower workers to be able to choose if part of their paycheck goes to a labor organization. Rand is supportive of unions, workers rights, and collective bargaining, but he wants workers to have more freedom to opt out if they desire.
