KFI News correspondent Steve Gregory obtained this audio of Los Angeles County Health Director Barbara Ferrer stating directly that schools should not re-open until after the November 3 election. "We don’t realistically anticipate that we would be moving to either tier 2 or to reopening K-12 schools at least until after the election, in early November," Ferrer said during a recorded conference call. "When we just look at the timing of everything, it seems to us a more realistic approach to this would be to think that we’re going to be where we are now until we are done with the election." Gregory discussed what this means on the John and Ken Show on KFI Thursday morning. “She seems to have gone out of the mainstream in the totality of what’s going on in the county, and she’s starting to get very specific on political agendas," Gregory said. "It took her a week or so to admit that protesters were part of the spread of the virus. We had to pressure her to say that.” "There is a little bit more to it where she talks about the upcoming flu season, but that's all the audio I got," he said. "I emailed the Health Department directly, to ask when did Dr. Ferrer say the schools plan to reopen, and I got a response back that is one long word salad paragraph that's not even worth reading because all it said was 'we're reassessing all the time.'" "If they had said 'early November,' everyone is not he same track. What caught my eye is she said the election not just once or twice. It could be just a benchmark, but I was looking at the timing. If you look at what Orange County is preparing to do... They are re-evaluating in three weeks... That puts us towards the end of September... Everything in L.A. county is being re-evaluated in three weeks."

On Wednesday, Trump-hating Joy Behar of ABC’s “The View” mocked President Trump’s claim that a successful vaccine for COVID-19 may be offered soon, taunting Ivanka Trump by snapping, “By the way, I will take the vaccine after Ivanka takes it.” On Thursday, Ivanka fired back on Twitter, writing, “Deal @JoyVBehar. Joy Behar, co-host of ABC's "The View," challenged the president's daughter Ivanka to take the COVID-19 vaccine before Behar would feel comfortable taking it. "I will take the vaccine after Ivanka takes it," Behar said Wednesday. "As far as the vaccine is concerned, I'd like to inform America -- in case we don't know this because I looked all this up for you -- the mumps vaccine took four years, the polio vaccine took 20 years, and the smallpox vaccine took a few centuries. It was developed initially in 1796, when they started to think about it, and it became useful in the 1950s. OK?" Behar said. Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris has also said she would distrust a vaccine distributed by the Trump administration. "[Trump] will push anything to get reelected," she also said. "Don't fall for it, and by the way, I will take the vaccine after Ivanka takes it." Deal @JoyVBehar. I would come on your show to do so.I trust the FDA and so should all Americans. Vanquishing this virus should be our collective top priority. https://t.co/FXb0Dqjdio-- Ivanka Trump (@IvankaTrump) September 10, 2020
