As a matter of great importance to the national security of our great nation and our allies across the world, urge members of Congress, both Democrats and Republicans, to stand united by adopting the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act “the Corker-Menendez bill" and objecting to any appeasement deal with Iran that doesn't involve a (lifetime) nuclear free Iran.
As announced, the framework of the deal presented by P5+1 and Iran is no deal!
Iran is continuing to enrich uranium, develop faster and more effective centrifuges, and develop missile technology to further their pursuit of a nuclear weapon.
Even Obama, during an interview with NPR, admitted under the "deal" -- Iran has the possibility to be nuclear capable in 13 years.
If adopted, the Corker-Menendez bill gives much needed congressional oversight by: ensuring that Congress will have the right to approve or disapprove whatever agreement may emerge from the Iranian from nuclear weapons negotiations; and additionally, allow Congress to pass a joint resolution barring any statutory sanctions relief.
The world currently has no accurate idea as to how far along Iran is with their nuclear program. Under the framework presented by world powers, Iran is not subject to unannounced inspections, giving Iran ample time (months) to hide nuclear weapon making materials.
Additionally, the presented deal gives Iran billions of dollars in foreign aid that could essentially be redirected to terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, Hamas, or jihadists in Yemen that ousted the pro-American President.
Obama is jeopardizing our safety and the safety of our global interests by appeasing and conceding to Iran. Historically speaking, appeasement ends in war.
Use your voice to alarm Congress -- demand they object to any agreement with Iran that does not immediately end their nuclear capabilities.
