Tell Congress to pass the First Amendment Defense Act
Target Name | Target Organization |
Congress |
No one should be punished for believing that marriage is between a man and a woman.
The federal government shouldn't fine or penalize someone because of their views on natural marriage.
We need Congress to pass the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) to prevent the federal government from discriminating against individuals, groups, and small business owners who believe marriage is between a man and a woman.
The FADA would ensure:
- No person would face discrimination in federal employment, lose a professional license, or be punished by the tax code for believing that marriage is between one man and one woman.
- No school, church, or soup kitchen would lose their charitable status because they uphold or teach natural marriage.
- No organization will be declared ineligible to receive research grants or partner with the federal government because they affirm marriage as a union of one man and one woman.
The federal government shouldn't be used to punish people who believe in something that President Barack Obama claimed to support just three short years ago.
It's time for Congress to pass the First Amendment Defense Act and put this legislation on President Obama's desk!
