They want to ban birth control, they are extreme, they even want to put women in jail who have miscarriages!

I am sure that you have heard the barrage of accusations against pro-life politicians who support personhood.

Liberal abortion interest groups and their allies in the media are attacking every candidate who has ever supported the idea that the right to life and personhood begin at conception.

Unfortunately, many candidates feel like they have to hide their pro-life credentials in order to get elected.  By running away from their pro-life convictions they are actually playing into the hands of abortion advocates, making the pro-life position seem outside of the mainstream.

Imagine that, interest groups that defend the dismemberment and poisoning of human beings as a form of birth control accusing pro-lifers of being extreme!

And talking about extremes, did you know that the media has been giving positive coverage to the case in the state of New York that is seeking to have the personhood of chimps established in court?  That's right, the media is willing to give friendly coverage for animal personhood, but not for human personhood.

It is time to stand up and be proud to be pro-life, not to apologize.

Did you know that Ronald Reagan supported a personhood amendment?

Did you know that the GOP platform supports the sanctity and the personhood of the unborn?  The platform, in the section entitled Sanctity of Life states:

  • Faithful to the "self-evident" truths enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment's protections apply to unborn children. GOP Platform
No matter how much the media tries to bully pro-lifers.  The truth is that being pro-life and pro-personhood is not an extreme position, it is the right position to advocate.

If a politician is not willing to stand up for his or her values while on the campaign trail, chances are they will never stand up for them in Washington DC.

Pro-lifers like us are tired of the same old promises.  While the homosexual lobby has unapologetically advocated for "equality" and made it a socially acceptable position, pro-lifers are forced to disavow their pro-life convictions in order to get elected.

This has got to end.

Many pro-life politicians are buckling under the pressure from the "war on women" crowd.  But some are not.

We must support them!

Please sign this petition and share it with others.  Every signature will be sent to the leadership of the National Republican Senatorial Committee as well as to the candidates who stand up for their pro-life convictions.

For example, after weeks of incessant barrages from the media about her support of a federal personhood law, US Senate Candidate Joni Earnst (Republican - Iowa) did exactly the right thing and came back with an unambiguous defense of her pro-life convictions:

  • "I will continue to stand by that. I am a pro-life candidate, and this has been shaped by my religious beliefs through the years."
We must support courageous leaders who are willing to stand up to the media and the abortion interest groups and defend our values.

We must demand that organizations like the National Republican Senatorial Committee defend the pro-life promise contained in the party platform and those candidates who are principled and courageous enough to stand by them.

Please sign our petition and share it with as many people as possible so that we can send a loud and clear message to the GOP.

BE PROUD TO BE THE PARTY OF LIFE!

The Petition

Petition to: National Republican Senatorial Committee

Dear Leadership of the National Republican Senatorial Committee:

As pro-life Americans, we are tired of hearing empty political promises to defend the right to life only to see them abandoned even before the election takes place.

The American people are looking for leadership at a time of political, financial, and above all moral uncertainty.

The Republican platform and President Ronald Reagan himself supported federal legislation to protect the right to life of every human being from conception.

You must not let the media and liberal abortion interest groups force our pro-life candidates to abandon their pro-life principles.

You must support true leaders willing to advocate their principles unapologetically.  We are tired of politicians, it is not enough to belong to a party if you will not act according to the party principles.

Please support those candidates who are willing to take a courageous stance for life and liberty.  Please support candidates who have the moral fortitude to stand up for their principles.
