On February 17th, two homosexual men ordered a wedding cake for their same-sex wedding. David and Edie politely declined and even offered to provide the two men with a list of bakeries that would service their wedding, but the two men weren’t interested.
A few days later Edie received a telephone call from the local newspaper. The gay couple had gone public and had accused the Delorme family of discrimination.
After the story was published, the Delormes were overwhelmed with threats against their business and their family. Angry activists posted derogatory reviews on Yelp and other social networking platforms.
David and Edie, who are devote Christians, have a long-standing policy of turning away any business that would conflict with their convictions.
"We don't do cakes that might conflict with our spiritual convictions," Edie said. "It was not something personal against the two young men. We just need to be able to run our business in a way that honors God."
Please show David and Edie that they are not alone. In their time of trial I'm sure they would appreciate your kinds words and support.
