Tell the Illinois GOP: Drop Chairman Brady for His Betrayal of Marriage!

I demand that state GOP Chairman Pat Brady resign his position, or be removed by Republican delegates.

Brady called on GOP legislators in Illinois to redefine marriage. His position violates the strong pro-marriage plank of the most recent Republican National Committee Platform, and is contrary to the position of every major GOP candidate for president in 2012.

Marriage and family are central, not just to the Republican Party platform, but to the votes and values of Republicans across the nation and in Illinois.

Until such time as Brady resigns or is removed from office, I will no longer contribute or support the Illinois Republican Party. Instead I will be directing my financial support to other pro-family groups in Illinois and nationwide.

It is simply unacceptable to have a party chairman who so openly flauts values central to the party and its platform. Marriage matters to me and as long as Pat Brady is the head of the Illinois GOP I will not support its mission and activity.
