The National Organization for Marriage, together with The Manhattan Declaration and Christian Union, is urging pro-marriage citizens to sign this petition of appreciation and gratitude for the decision by World Vision’s Leadership and Board of Directors to reaffirm the sanctity of marriage and the pivotal importance of marriage to Christian tradition and life.
The President of the National Organization for Marriage, Brian Brown, said in a press release: “The Christian view of marriage clearly holds that it is the union of one man and one woman. It was for this reason that many were dismayed by news that World Vision would be compromising its stance upon this Biblical value with a new policy recognizing the validity of ‘marriage’ between same-sex persons. The decision by World Vision to reverse this policy is cause for celebration and congratulation. World Vision has listened to their supporters and congregations worldwide, and chosen to stand by the Christian truth of marriage in spite of what must have been immense pressure from the radical same-sex ‘marriage’ lobby.”
World Vision needs to hear from you today that you appreciate and applaud their choice to stand by the Biblical ideal of marriage. Please sign this petition and share it with your family and friends.

Thanks World Vision for Standing for Marriage
I am writing today to celebrate and congratulate World Vision for listening to their supporters and congregations worldwide, and reaffirming their stance favoring the Christian truth of marriage in spite of aggressive pressure from the radical same-sex ‘marriage’ lobby.
The Christian view of marriage clearly holds that it is the union of one man and one woman, and even though it takes courage to stand by this teaching today, we must never shrink from the duty.
As an organization founded to “bear witness to the redemption offered only through faith in Jesus Christ,” and whose staff is expected to bear such witness, World Vision clearly must stand by the Christian truth of marriage with steadfast commitment. I applaud World Vision’s firm policy of employing staff who by their lives give witness to the cherished truth that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and meant to unite couples together in love for their own good and for the good of any children born of their union.
Christian truth maintains that love for all people and respect for God’s will in marriage are not exclusive propositions. Rather they can - indeed they must - coincide. True love for all of God’s children requires that we recognize and hold sacred God’s plan for the human family founded upon the union of husband and wife. Thank you for continuing as an organization both to love God’s children and to respect God’s truth.
