According to a new study, Utah is home of the 13^th highest tax for wireless service in the nation. Just to use a cell phone, Utahns have to pay 18.49% in combined local, state and federal taxes. To make matters worse, the state levies obscure taxes while facing little protest from state residents.

The wireless taxes Utahns pay are outrageous. They promote less competition, are a burden on small business, and result in a lower standard of living for all residents.  By lowering the tax burden, your state representatives and governor will send a signal that Utah is open for innovation.

It’s time for Utah to stop extracting money through manipulative taxation on wireless devices. Contact your representative in the state legislature and the governor and tell them to lower the tax on wireless devices.
