On June 26 the U.S Supreme Court struck down Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). This decision was an outrageous assault on marriage that also undermined the authority of Congress to define marriage for federal purposes.
Already, gay marriage activists are attempting to overturn Section 2 of DOMA, which is the only federal law preventing states from being forced to recognize the so-called “marriages” of homosexual couples from other states.
It’s time that We, The People fight back!
Congressman Tim Huelskamp is introducing a Marriage Protection Amendment in the U.S. House of Representatives to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, along with Reps. Vicky Hartzler and John Fleming and other marriage heroes.
