Republican Congressman Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida was grilled by the tirelessly snarky CNN anchor, Chris Cuomo, in a lengthy 13-minute- “interview” Friday morning on New Day. From the very beginning, Gaetz was attacked, insulted, interrupted and berated by Cuomo over his “partisan” position calling for Mueller to be fired for conflicts of interest on the Russia probe.

Regulation: Two decisions this week underscore the at-times contradictory approach of  the Trump administration on regulation and antitrust. In one, the Justice Department mistakenly challenged the proposed AT&T-Time Warmer merger. In the other, the FCC wisely rolled back Obama's onerous internet rules. First, the AT&T-Time Warner merger. The bedrock of U.S. antitrust law is the idea that a merger or business combination will in some way stifle competition and, thereby, hurt consumers, too. In the case of the proposed AT&T-Time Warner deal, neither will happen. So why is the Justice Department blocking the planned megamerger? Maybe it's a reflex from years gone by, when the U.S. Justice Department would routinely find things wrong with a big company, propose that its large size and success made it a threat to consumers, and then either denied it the right to merge or, in extreme cases, broke it up. AT&T has seen this before. It is itself the result of the breakup of the

SURPASSING GOALS FOR FY 2017: The Trump Administration has far exceeded its promise to eliminate regulations at a 2:1 ratio and impose no lifetime net regulatory costs. Agencies have issued 22 deregulatory actions for every one new regulatory action. This 22:1 ratio far exceeds President Trump’s promise to eliminate two rules for every one new ?

FBI-Gate: Deep State in Deep Spit

Submitted 6 years ago by ActRight Community

Call me a sentimentalist, but I liked the days when FBI agents went undercover as subversives better than today when subversives go undercover as FBI agents. “Maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace,” FBI agent Lisa Page texted colleague and lover Peter Strzok. “I can protect our country at many levels,” Strzok responded. Presumably, these “levels” included Strzok changing language in FBI director James Comey’s report on the Hillary Clinton server scandal that initially described her actions as “grossly negligent” to “extremely careless,” an alteration that removed verbiage potentially

All of Hillary’s Men

The only picture of collusion emerging from the Russian probes is one that implicates Hillary's. Across the U.S. government, political appointees and deep state hacks were helping Hillary and gunning for Trump. One of her partisans over at the FBI, Peter Strzok, performed a virtual hat trick of political espionage: he went from inoculating Hillary against criminal prosecution (by convincing Comey to soften his description of her mishandling of classified information) to joining the quest to nail Trump, all while writing to his mistress, also at the FBI, that they had a mutual duty to prevent Trump from winning the

The Daily Miracle of Life

Wednesday A strange day. I awakened in my room in Rancho Mirage, looking out at the swimming pool and the golf course and the brown, barren mountains. I made myself a fried egg, ate it, and then went swimming. Our gardener has put a fake owl on a rope near the swimming pool to scare away ducks and every time I swim by it, I think it’s going to be a golfer looking for his lost golf balls. But it never is. I took a shower in my immense shower, marveling as I do each time I am in the

Toxic Femininity, Redux

Monday, your author was perusing his Facebook feed and happened upon a link being bounced around (with more than 46,000 social media shares as of Tuesday afternoon) amid guffaws and headshaking from a site called Everyday Feminism, and pursuant to this column’s occasional examination of the blatant stupidity of the anti-social Left I thought it was worth presenting. The piece, written by someone named Lara Witt, is entitled “10 Things Every Intersectional Feminist Should Ask On a First Date” — and it is every bit the laugh riot you, Dear Reader, would expect. Before examining these gems from the Romantic
