Support the People of Georgia in their Stand for Faith and Tradition
Target Name | Target Organization |
President Donald Trump | (President of the United States) |
Secretary Mike Pompeo | (Secretary of State) |
Elizabeth Rood | (Chargé d’Affaires, US Embassy in Georgia) |
In the Republic of Georgia, a deeply-Christian, conservative nation with a strong commitment to traditional values, the US embassy is not only flying the rainbow flag, but they are the main sponsor and political advocate for "pride week" in Tbilisi, the nation's capital.
IOF has a close relationship with the people of Georgia, having sponsored our World Congress of Families X conference in Tbilisi in 2016. We are proud to join with our good friend Levan Vasadze, Chairman of WCF X, and a coalition of allies including officials from the Georgian Orthodox Church to object to the defiant flying of the rainbow flag at the US Embassy in Tbilisi, and to the embassy's advocacy of the LGBT agenda during "pride week."
Please add your name to our petition to President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo letting them know about what's going on in Georgia and asking them to enforce the President's prohibition on the flying of the rainbow flag at any US embassy in the world.
The Petition
Please Support the Georgian People and their Values
I am writing to object to the actions of certain US embassies who are openly defying President Trump's appropriate directive to not fly the rainbow flag on US embassy flagpoles. In the Republic of Georgia, for example, not only is the US embassy in Tbilisi defying the President's directive and flying the rainbow flag along with Old Glory, but the embassy is the main sponsor of so-called "pride week" in Tbilisi.
The flying of the rainbow flag is an "in your face" political statement in support of the LGBT political agenda that gay, lesbian and transgender activists demand be enacted by countries around the globe. This agenda – which includes the imposition of same-sex 'marriage,' transgender ideologies, commercial surrogacy, and policies that undermine religious liberty and the natural family – is a deeply offensive, extremely controversial political agenda that runs contrary to the culture, values and religious traditions of countries throughout the world.
I urge you to enforce the ban that President Trump properly instituted on the flying of the rainbow flag over US embassies. Please direct US embassy personnel in Georgia and around the globe to be advocates for all Americans regardless of political viewpoints, ethnicity, background or religion and to cease advocating for a highly-controversial, deeply-troubling political agenda pushed by LGBT activists.
