The Petition
Stop the Supreme Court Insurrection
Dear Elected Leaders:
Congressional Democrats have proposed legislation to pack the US Supreme Court with four new liberal justices, ensuring that Democrats have permanent control of the judiciary. This is an insurrection aimed at the independence of the Supreme Court. If this court packing scheme were to become law, the Supreme Court would cease to be an independent arbiter of constitutional and statutory disputes and instead would become an arm of the Democrat party. Liberals would be able to exercise iron-fisted control on every single issue that came before the courts. It would enshrine Democrats with permanent control of the government, allowing them to impose radical, extreme proposals at will. Average Americans would have no voice and no power to meaningfully petition our government.
I urge you to publicly repudiate this court packing insurrection and ensure the American people that you strongly oppose it. The Supreme Court has had nine members for over 150 years. Legal scholars of all perspectives, including the late justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, have strongly opposed court packing. I call on you to immediately add your voice to call for the rejection of this scheme.
Failure to publicly oppose this legislation will signal to the American people that you are willing to impose a radical restructuring of our highest judicial institution for the sole purpose of ensuring that in the future Democrats win every important case to come before the Supreme Court. This will not only cause great harm to the fabric of our nation, it will ensure the demise of Democrat hegemony in the 2022 midterm elections.
Please act immediately to announce your opposition to this dangerous proposal.
