The Senate is split on the issue of same-sex marriage, with eleven senators signing on as co-sponsors of a piece of radical legislation that would redefine marriage (House Bill 5015) and eleven other senators sponsoring a bill that would give the people of the Ocean State the right to vote on the matter (Senate Resolution 0096).
