It’s been six years since a Michael Moore mockumentary struggled at the box office. Capitalism: A Love Story grossed a paltry $14.3 million, less than an eighth the take of his hit Fahrenheit 911. The long wait for the next Moore spectacle is almost over. The day before the next 9/11 anniversary, Moore’s new America-bashing film Where To Invade Next will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, where movies about America by an American make their debut. As usual, the film’s “principal cast” is just Michael Moore, egomaniac. Moore boasted he hadn’t done a TV interview in a year. (Thank the Lord for small favors.) And succeeded wildly in keeping this film a secret (ditto).

I like [mc_name name='Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)' chamber='senate' mcid='C001098' ] a lot as a Senator, but I have never been a huge fan of his candidacy for President - at least until now. Generally speaking, I prefer governors to Senators, and I have an especial wariness for first term Senators. Additionally, I have questions about Cruz's ability as a coalition builder and I know that | Read More »

CNN's Chris Cuomo on Friday fretted that a new report on ISIS and its rape culture would reinforce negative perceptions of Muslims. The New Day anchor talked to Dr. Qanta Ahmed, an author and human rights advocate. Reacting to a front page story on the New York Times, Cuomo played a clip of a woman recounting brutal violence at the hands of ISIS. He then lectured, "This feeds the impression that these Muslims are animals, savages and their faith makes them that way. And it feeds an impression of what Islam is. What is your response to that?"
