Democrat John Edwards campaigned in 2008 on the theme of his 2004 Democratic National Convention speech about there being Two Americas. The American people rejected Edwards and his class warfare both times, but he had a point: There are two Americas.

Hillary Clinton is entering the presidential race in a cloud of scandal surrounding foreign contributions to the Clinton family foundation and her use of a private email account and server to conduct official business while secretary of state. But she and her husband are no strangers to scandal.
There often seemed to be no end of the scandals during President Bill Clinton's two terms in the White House and Hillary Clinton's campaigns for the Senate starting in 2000 and the Oval Office in 2008. Political experts began diagnosing Clinton Fatigue long ago.
As NBC's Meet the Press host Chuck Todd said shortly after the email scandal broke, if Clinton fatigue, which is already a disease in the press corps, actually becomes a problem with the voting public, and these polls, maybe this is the first time that it's becoming a problem, that's — that is doom for her.
Hillary Clinton may become America's first woman in the Oval Office despite the heavy baggage of her last name, but the scandals will surely play a dominant role in the 2016 presidential race.

A Wednesday "Good Morning America" piece gave President Barack Obama an open mic to claim that, in ABC's words, "climate change became a personal issue for him when his older daughter Malia, now 16, was rushed to the emergency room with an asthma attack when she was just a toddler." Somehow, ABC managed to avoid another possible contributor — besides the obvious possibility that Malia developed asthma independent of external influences — namely the President's 30-year smoking habit. He is said to have quit once and for all in 2011. USA Today columnist James S. Robbins wasn't impressed with the President's "reasoning," and with good cause, as he articulated in a Thursday evening column. He even managed to get a "there's been no warming for a long time" observation past USA Today's editors (links are in original; bolds are mine):

On Thursday’s The Kelly File, host Megyn Kelly jumped all over MSNBC’s Ed Schultz for having the audacity to lecture Rand Paul, or anyone for that matter, on the subject of sexism. Schultz claims, “There is evidence Rand Paul has a real problem with women reporters.” Kelly and her guest Ann Coulter laughed away at Schultz since it was about four years ago Schultz called conservative radio talk-show host Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.”

Hollywood executives are opening their checkbooks--and new Super PACs--for Hillary Clinton as she makes a second run at the presidency. Ted Johnson and James Rainey report for Variety that Hollywood is far more unified behind Clinton than they were in 2008, when Barack Obama successfully split the liberal donor base. This time, heavyweights such as Jeffrey Katzenberg are joining Clinton loyalists like Haim Saban to provide the big money to fuel her 2016 campaign.
